The harmonies progress beautifully, while the individual instruments sound complete, yet they make up a wonderful ensemble. Over the years, I have enjoyed the music of WarCraft 2 because the soundtrack is possibly the best MIDI soundtrack I've heard. And the human victory tracks sound a bit wavery. The only doubt I've got is that some of the Orc tracks sound a bit too peaceful and reflective for a race of bloodthirsty savages. Rather than the jingly techno tunes in the prequel or the low-key ambiental crap in the sequel, WC2's midis strike a good balance between atmosphere and pace. For those who remember playing WC2 back in the old days listening to the music is almost as great a nostalgia trip as playing the actual game. WC2 is pretty dated by today's standards, but the music never gets old. It not only fits perfectly but adds a whole new level of ambience to WC2. Two things will always stick with me about this game, Bill Roper's humorous voiceovers and Glen Stafford's awesome music. The game's audio is and always has been one of its strong points. Remember, it's only my opinion and it has nothing to do with music quality - I just really don't like the 'human part' of the soundtrack.

Hopefully, in the future, the recorders will record the entire composition, but otherwise, it was GREAT!!! However, most of the songs were cut off, and I am not sure if that was all the songs that there were supposed to be. It's not the game that I like, but the actual music. I downloaded the Warcraft II soundtrack, and I enjoyed it to tears. IMO, it's the best Blizzard soundtrack of all (including War3 and Diablo 2) This is definitively the best MIDI music from any games !
